| BN.........5632 is off the draw. A radio call by Extra #5632 West to the Burlington Operator on October 10, 1964 as it drifts across the bridge at Burlington, Iowa with a clean stack is the subject of this 16 x 20 Color Poster. Right behind the engine is the Chief Illini. After dropping everyone off, the train will be backed across the bridge to set-up for a photo run-by over the bridge with the usual black smoke created with an oily fire and several shovels of sand. The Engineeer that day was V.M. Danniel, my Dad. Stan Searing, a college student at Iowa Wesleyan College in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa shot this photo. Photo from Randy Danniel Collection This wonderful 16 x 20 Color Poster is printed on heavy 100 lb. Archival paper and is shipped in a sturdy rolled tube ready for framing. The Poster can be found with the Train Orders from that October day in The Burlington In Transition. The Poster is $15.00 retail. Click Here to Order |
