This long out-of-print book covers the steam to diesel transition on the Chicago, Burlington, & Quincy Railroad has been reprinted in a fine hardbound edition. Originally published in 1967, this has been one of the most sought after CB&Q books ever printed. The Bible of CB&Q motive power during the transition from steam to diesel is available in a very limited reprinting. The book includes the most extensive diesel roster ever published for the CB&Q. Many line drawings are included featuring the CB&Q steam excursion engines #4960 and #5632, the Gas Electric Motorcars, early GP and SD diesels, and Uboats.
